WHAT IS THERMOGRAPHY?

thermal image of woman - cove wellness la jolla caThermal Imaging is a safe, non-invasive, imaging test that uses an ultra-sensitive infrared camera to produce high resolution diagnostic images of temperature distribution throughout the body. Our intention is to use this technology for prevention and early disease detection. The images taken create a map showing heat patterns within the body visibly detecting inflammation and other conditions that may go un-noticed by x-rays and mammograms. By measuring the temperature, Clinical Thermography can monitor the body’s thermal activity and alert the doctor of possible health concerns. It has been shown to be effective in finding early signs of breast disease up to 10 years before a mammogram. With the knowledge received, followed by a holistic recommended approach by our medical doctors, you now have strategic tools to start living an abundantly healthy life.

IS IT SAFE?

Thermal Imaging is approved by the FDA and provides a completely safe environment for both the patient and technician. Unlike mammograms, there is no emission of harmful radiation as well as no compression due to the camera’s capability of measuring temperature from a distance. Comparison of Thermography, Mammography, and Ultrasound.

IS IT ACCURATE?

Yes, as a screening tool it has been shown to be 97% accurate at detecting abnormalities. Early detection can help improve your health by picking up on the precursors to disease before it develops. If disease is detected, thermal imaging provides beneficial information to help you choose from a wide-range of treatment options suitable for your needs.

WHO SHOULD BE TESTED WITH THERMAL IMAGING?

Thermography is suitable for all ages and it is recommended to be screened regularly allowing you and your family to take a pro-active approach towards health.
